What should I do if I am currently in crisis?
Please call or text 988 to reach a live representative 24/7. You can also visit the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline website for more information.
Where can you provide therapy?
I am licensed in the state of New Jersey and can only provide services to clients located in the state. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy recently signed the state’s Counseling Compact legislation. The Counseling Compact is expected to streamline the process for counselors to provide services in other states. Stay tuned!
Do you offer in-person appointments?
No. I currently offer **Telehealth (online video) appointments only.** All sessions are conducted securely via Alma’s HIPAA-compliant video platform. Zoom is available as a backup if technical issues arise, but Alma is the primary system used for Telehealth.
What are your normal business hours?
Monday – Friday 9am-5pm US Eastern Time (exclusive of weekends and holidays)
How long are your sessions?
Each individual session is 45 minutes long, and a couples session is 60 minutes long.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Appointments canceled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time may be assessed a $35 cancelation fee.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept certain forms of insurance (see below). I also accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept certain types of insurance plans through my insurance credentialing partner, Alma. Please see Alma’s Participating Insurance Plans page for more information. If you don’t see your insurance plan listed, you may be able to pay for services up front and then request an out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance company.
What are your private pay rates?
If you decide not to use your insurance policy or you don’t have insurance, you can still receive services by paying directly (this is sometimes referred to as private pay). My current rate is **$130 per session**. Rates are subject to change.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, I offer a sliding scale to a limited number of private pay clients. Please ask me for more information.
What platforms and services do you use to provide care?
Alma: insurance credentialing, billing, scheduling
Therapist Aid: additional forms and questionnaires
Zoom: video-based therapy sessions
Google Workspace: email and document storage
Is my information protected?
Yes! Your information is handled and secured on HIPAA-compliant platforms. Please note I cannot provide a HIPAA-compliant text message platform. Text messages will be handled in confidence but are not handled or stored in a HIPAA-compliant manner. Therefore, text messaging should only be used for schedule coordination.
